New builds and renovations leave fine dust and debris across every surface, long after the contractors have packed up. Post-construction cleaning gets a site clean, safe and presentable so it is ready to occupy. Here is what a thorough post-construction clean typically covers.
Dust and debris removal
Construction dust settles everywhere — on walls, ledges, fittings and inside cupboards. The first stage is systematic dust removal from high level down to the floor, including vents, frames and skirtings.
Surfaces, fittings and glass
Walls, doors, cupboards, fittings and light switches are cleaned and detailed. Windows, frames and glass are cleaned inside and out where accessible, removing paint flecks, adhesive and smears.
Floors
Floors are cleaned thoroughly, and where needed hard floors are stripped and sealed as part of a floor stripping and sealing service. Carpets are vacuumed and cleaned where installed.
Kitchens and ablutions
Kitchens, tea stations and ablutions are deep cleaned and sanitised so they are hygienic and ready for use.
Final presentation clean
A final walk-through and presentation clean ensures the space is hand-over ready. For large projects we can clean in phases to match the construction programme, with a final clean before occupation.
