“Deep cleaning” and “regular cleaning” are often used interchangeably, but they are different services with different purposes. Knowing the difference helps you plan a cleaning programme that keeps your premises consistently presentable.
Regular cleaning is the routine, scheduled work that keeps a space clean day to day — surfaces wiped, floors cleaned, bins emptied, ablutions serviced and high-touch points sanitised. It is usually delivered daily or weekly as part of an office or contract cleaning agreement.
Deep cleaning is an intensive, detailed clean that reaches areas routine cleaning does not — skirtings, vents, behind and under fittings, detailed kitchen and ablution cleaning, and build-up that accumulates over time. It is done periodically, or before an event, hand-over or new occupation.
Most premises need both: regular cleaning for ongoing upkeep, and a periodic deep clean to reset the space. A common approach is scheduled regular cleaning with a deep clean booked quarterly or as needed.
We can assess your premises and recommend the right mix of routine and deep cleaning, set out in a formal quotation.
